Creating a File Upload Field:
  1. Go to the Fields tab.
  2. Select the field type you want to use — File Upload.
  3. Click Create New Field button.

You'll then go through setup screen:

  • Field name (under Global field setting) — this name is shown in the cart, checkout, and order details, indicating what the customer uploaded. Use unique field names if you're using multiple upload fields, to avoid confusion.

  • Button customization:

    • Upload button text — the text shown on the button before a file is uploaded (default: "Upload button").

    • Post upload button text — the text the button switches to after a file is successfully uploaded (default: "File uploaded").

    • Colors — set a custom button color and text color (by hex code). A live preview shows exactly how the button will look with your settings.

  • Field requirement: choose whether customers must upload a file before adding the product to the cart, or customers can add the product to the cart without uploading a file (this second option — not required — is the default).

  • Field upload configuration: choose Single allowed (customer can only upload one file), or Multiple files allowed (set a range of how many files, from 1 to 5).

  • Field size configuration: choose All file size allowed (customer can upload any size of file — default), or Custom file size, where you set a minimum (in KB) and maximum (in MB), within a range of 1–100.

Allowed file types & display

  • Allowed file types: pick which of the 14 supported file types this specific field should accept, grouped by category — Images, Design files, Documents, Archives, Audio.
    • Images (6 types): SVG, PNG, JPG/JPEG, GIF, WEBP, HEIC
    • Design files (2 types): PSD, AI
    • Documents (2 types): PDF, DOC/DOCX
    • Archives (2 types): ZIP, RAR
    • Audio (2 types): MP3, WAV
None are selected by default, so you need to turn on at least one.

  • Product configuration: show the field on all products (default) or only on selected products.

  • Variant configuration: choose variant visibility — display the field on all variants of matching products (default), or display it only on variants that match any/all/none of conditions you set.

Click Save to finish creating the field. It goes live immediately — you can go to your online store and check the product page to verify it's showing up correctly.
