Showing Both Field Types on the Same Product(s)

You're not limited to one field per product, and you're not limited to showing a field on just one product either. Product and Variant Configuration are set per field, independently — so you can mix and match freely.
In short: each field decides on its own where it shows up, so combining a File Upload field and a Text field on one product (or spreading either across many products) is just a matter of setting each field's Product Configuration accordingly. There's no limit on how many fields a single product can have.
- One product, two fields: create a File Upload field and a Text field separately, and set both to Show field on selected products, picking the same product for each. Both fields will then appear together on that product's page — for example, a logo upload field plus a "notes for placement" text field on the same custom t-shirt.
- Multiple products, same field: set a field's Product Configuration to Show field on all products to have it appear everywhere, or select several specific products if you only want it on some.
- Different fields on different products: since targeting is per field, nothing stops you from having, say, a File Upload field only on your "Custom Prints" products and a separate Text field only on your "Gift Items" products — they don't have to overlap.
